Lucknow, 11 March: Arnav
Shreyash, a Class 12 student of City Montessori School, Gomti Nagar Campus I,
has been specially invited to participate in the International Youth Conference
to be held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. This invitation to a
CMS student to attend an international conference organized by the world's most
prestigious organization is indeed a matter of pride for Lucknow and the entire
state. This international conference, themed ‘Youth at the Forefront –
Leveraging Science and Social Inclusion for Sustainable Development’, is being
organized under the aegis of the United Nations Economic and Social Council
(ECOSOC) in April. CMS Manager, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon extended her best
wishes to Arnav for the conference and wished him a bright future. This
information was given by
Mr. Rishi Khanna, Head, Communications, CMS.
Mr. Khanna informed that CMS student Arnav Shreyash is
one of the select students from across the world who has earned this
prestigious opportunity due to his exceptional academic record, impressive
communication skills, remarkable contributions to social work, and his global
mindset coupled with humanitarian and creative ideas. Mr. Khanna further
mentioned that this international conference will provide Arnav with a unique
platform to present the views of the younger generation on various pressing
global issues such as health, gender equality, and economic development. It
will also ensure active youth participation in achieving the Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs).
Mr. Khanna added that Arnav is a talented student at
CMS Gomti Nagar Campus I and actively participates in various social awareness
programs organized by the school. Besides being an artist, writer, and poet,
Arnav is deeply engaged in ancient and modern historical facts as well as
environmental issues. He also holds a keen interest in expressing his views on
international matters. To raise environmental awareness among students and
youth, Arnav established the International Youth Concerned Society at just 13
years of age. In addition, Arnava has been a member of the Global Coordination
Team. He has actively participated in various forums like the Asia-Pacific
Youth Forum, Regional Dialogue on Youth Empowerment in Climate Action, World
Food Forum, and Global Youth Summit, significantly contributing to social
