Lucknow, 7 January : The participating students of the 'International Children's Camp,' being hosted by City Montessori School, were left spellbound by the cultural heritage and Ganga-Jamuni tehzeeb of Lucknow. These young guests, aged 11 to 12 years, hail from seven countries viz Australia, Brazil, Germany, Italy, Japan, Norway, and India. During their stay in Lucknow, these children are living under one roof, bringing to life the spirit of Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam. Today, these students embarked on a tour of Lucknow, visiting prominent landmarks such as the UP Darshan Park and Bara Imambara, etc. During their exploration, they experienced the unique harmony of Lucknow's Ganga-Jamuni culture. Mr. Khanna
informed that while strolling through the streets of Lucknow, students from
various countries created a remarkable scene of unity in diversity, embodying
Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam. They also relished various Indian traditional delicacies.
In an informal conversation, these children expressed their admiration for
India, saying, "We had read about India's history in books, but today, we
had the privilege of witnessing its culture, traditions, mutual love, and
friendly people up close. We received so much love and warmth here, that we
would love to visit India again."
Mr.
Khanna further informed that CMS is hosting the 29th International Children's
Camp under the aegis of the Children's International Summer Village (CISV),
England. CMS has made all arrangements for the participants, including
accommodation, food, recreational activities, historical tours, and medical
facilities. The primary objective of the camp is to bring together children
from diverse cultures, languages, and traditions, fostering mutual
understanding, world peace, and global brotherhood in their tender hearts.
