2nd day of International Sports, Art, and Music competition 'SAM-2024'


 

Lucknow, December 20 : The second day of the five-day International Sports, Arts, and Music Competition (SAM-2024), jointly organized by City Montessori School, Indira Nagar Campus II  and Ayodhya Road Campus, witnessed participants from Nepal, Sri Lanka, and various Indian states displaying their scientific knowledge and artistic talent through various engaging and enriching competitions. Alongside, participants exchanged ideas and gained insights into the culture and traditions of different nations. SAM-2024 is being held from December 19 to 23 at the CMS Kanpur Road auditorium.Today’s competitions commenced with the Junior Category event, SAM Quizzers. After the preliminary rounds, 10 selected teams advanced to the finals, where questions related to sports, arts, and music were posed. The participants impressed everyone with their swift and accurate answers, showcasing their profound knowledge and intellect. Another fascinating event today was the SAM Cuisine Connoisseurs (Fireless Cooking) competition, where participants from different countries displayed their culinary interests under the theme "Taste Buds on Tour - A Blend of Two Global Cuisines." They prepared popular dishes from different countries and presented them creatively while also answering questions from the judges. The participants amazed everyone with their creativity and culinary skills. Similarly, in the SAM Graffiters (Doodle) competition, junior and senior category participants created remarkable doodles, exhibiting their intellectual and artistic talents. SAM Melody Maestro (musical instruments) competition was another highlight of the day, where participants ingeniously transformed old items into musical instruments, showcasing their musical expertise. This competition saw participation from 17 teams from across India and abroad.

            Mr. Rishi Khanna, Head, Communications, CMS, informed that the series of competitions under SAM-2024 will continue tomorrow, December 21. Some of the key events scheduled for tomorrow include SAM Quizzers (Quiz), SAM Conclave, SAM Sculptors (3D Model Making) and SAM Mellifluous Marshals (Martial Arts). Mr. Khanna further added that the enthusiasm and interest of students from India and abroad in SAM-2024 competitions are remarkable. These young talents are destined to achieve groundbreaking discoveries and create history for the betterment of humanity.

Lucknow, January 6 : After Gomti Nagar Campus II and Rajajipuram Campus I, City Montessori School has now opened a Cambridge section at its Aliganj Campus I, in which the students will be taught according to the Cambridge curriculum.
