Grand inauguration of 'SPARDHA-2024'

Lucknow, 6 November : 'SPARDHA-2024', a four-day International Sports Olympiad organized by City Montessori School, RDSO Campus took off to a brilliant start as a grand inaugural ceremony was held at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium here this evening. The Chief Guest, Mr Ashish Kumar Singh, Member of Legislative Assembly, Bilgram-Mallawan, Hardoi, inaugurated the 'SPARDHA-2024' by lighting the lamp of peace and unity. Earlier, the Sports Olympiad began on an auspicious note with an All Religion and World Peace Prayer. The grand cultural ceremony saw the students holding flags of different countries and conveying the message - May Peace Prevail on Earth.  CMS students presented a heartwarming cultural presentation spreading the ideals of World Unity and World Peace all around. Smart contingents of teams from various countries added colour and attraction to the March Past leaving the viewers mesmerized. It is worth mentioning here that International Sports Olympiad 'SPARDHA-2024' is being organized from 6 to 9 November 2024. Around 500 young players from Sri Lanka, Nepal and various states of India have arrived here at Lucknow to compete in a series of exciting sports events.

              Addressing the gathering on this occasion, the Chief Guest, Mr Ashish Singh 'Ashu', said that sports promote discipline, dedication and determination providing one of the most creative outlets for the bubbling energy of children and youth. They fill one with patriotism and healthy sportsman spirit. It is from among these players that we will have Olympic champions who will bring name and fame to the country. He heartily congratulated CMS for the initiative to organize the International Sports Olympiad. CMS Manager, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon said that SPARDHA-2024 is another step towards the World Unity and World Peace. Students coming from India and abroad will not only get a chance to showcase their sports talents here at an international platform but they will also strengthen the bonds of peace, unity and friendship.

              Ms Jyotsna Atul, Principal of CMS RDSO Campus and Convener of SPARDHA-2024 welcomed the eminent guests and young players from India and abroad. She expressed the hope that the International Sports Olympiad would provide an opportunity for the rising talents in sports to display their hidden capabilities. She informed that 'SPARDHA-2024' includes a variety of sports events like Track & Field events, Badminton, Judo, Karate, Brush and Beyong and Agree to Disagree (Debate) etc.

              Mr Rishi Khanna, Head, Communications, CMS, informed that Competitions of Spardha-2024 will start from tomorrow on Thursday, 7th November.  Track and field events  will be held at RDSO Stadium, Manak Nagar, Lucknow while badminton will be held at RDSO Badminton Hall. Judo, Karate and other events will be held at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium.

CMS Aliganj opens Cambridge section

Lucknow, January 6 : After Gomti Nagar Campus II and Rajajipuram Campus I, City Montessori School has now opened a Cambridge section at its Aliganj Campus I, in which the students will be taught according to the Cambridge curriculum.
