Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Brajesh Pathak inaugurates 'COFAS-2024'

Lucknow, 23 August : The four-day International Computer Olympiad 'COFAS-2024' organized by City Montessori School, Rajendra Nagar Campus I was magnificently inaugurated today at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium. Chief Guest, Shri Brajesh Pathak, Deputy Chief Minister, UP, ceremoniously inaugurated this mega event by lighting the lamp of learning whereas Padmashree Smt. Sudha Singh, Arjun Awardee Olympian, graced the occasion by her benign presence as the Special Guest of Honour. Participating teams of COFAS-2024 arrived from Thailand, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan and various states of India introduced themselves in style amidst scintillating educational-cultural items presented by CMS students. It may be mentioned that International COFAS-2024 is being organized from 23 to 26 August at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium.

          Addressing the gathering of young scientists from India and abroad at the inaugural function, the Chief Guest, Shri Brajesh Pathak, Deputy Chief Minister, UP, said that extensive research in computers and science will benefit all fields of knowledge and upgrade living standards throughout the world. He inspired the young scientists to use their knowledge and scientific talents for the benefit of society. Special Guest of Honour, Padmashree Smt. Sudha Singh said that the young scientists should grab the opportunity of increasing their knowledge and adopting new methods in such events like COFAS. Ahead of this, CMS Manager Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon warmly welcomed the Chief Guest, Special Guests and other distinguished dignitaries, along with participating students and team leaders from India and abroad. In her address on this occasion, Prof. Kingdon expressed confidence that this Olympiad will not only familiarize students with technological advancements but also play a significant role in developing a global perspective among them. The Convener of 'COFAS International-2024' and Principal of CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus I, Mrs. Jayashree Krishnan, extended heartfelt thanks to the participating students and guests.

          The participating students of International COFAS-2024 met with journalists at a press conference held today in the afternoon and openly shared their thoughts. Talking to press reporters, these students unanimously opined that knowledge of science should be used for the benefit of humanity. Students from the Matthayom Watnairong School, Bangkok, Thailand, expressed their excitement about making new friends and learning a lot during their time here. Students from the Sanghamiththa Balika Vidyalaya, Sri Lanka mentioned that visiting India was a dream come true for them. The team from Ankuram Academy, Nepal, shared that the educational environment here would provide them with immense learning opportunities and the chance to listen to the enlightening talks of computer experts. Similarly, students from various states of India also expressed their views.

          Mr. Rishi Khanna, Head of the Communications Department of CMS, informed that the competitions of COFAS-2024 will begin tomorrow on 24th August at 9.00 am at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium. Tomorrow's competitions include Confabular (Debate), Colesium (Drama), Creators (Logo designing), Softek (Game designing and Synthwave (Group singing) etc.

CMS organizes Civil Service Conclave in a grand way

3rd Day of 4-day International Mathematics Olympiad Matheletics 2023

  Lucknow, December 2 : The third day of the International Mathematics Olympiad organized by City Montessori School, Rajajipuram Campus II was full of exciting moments. While on the one hand students excelled in Mathematical Quiz and Puzzle Competition, on the other hand the mathematical games were keenly contested by the eager participants. Students from top public schools of Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and various states of India entered into fierce competition, each team trying to outdo the other with superior skill and knowledge.                Competitions at ‘Matheletics 2023’ began in Group C today with the Mathsketeers (Quiz) Contest. The written round was completed today in which the top ten teams were selected for the final round. The written round brought to light the hidden talents in mathematics and tested the logical and numerical ability of the participants of various countries. CMS Girls Brass Band Team wins national honour at National School Band Competition

Lucknow, February 9 : CMS Girls’ Brass Band Team of Kanpur Road Campus brought honour to the city of Lucknow by securing the 2nd prize, the Runners up Trophy at the National School Brass Band Competition. The team was awarded a cash prize of Rs 16000/-, a certificate and a trophy by the organizers. This information was given by the Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr Hari Om Sharma. Mr Sharma stated that this competition was organized as part of the 75th Republic Day Celebrations. Several prestigious schools and colleges from all over the country participated in this tough competition and displayed their skills and talent in music.
