CMS band team wins first prize in National School Band Competition


 

Lucknow, 2 January : Extremely talented team of City Montessori School, Kanpur Road Campus won the first prize at the National North Zone School Band Competition held at Mohali, Chandigarh bringing laurels to the city and the state. This competition was organized as part of the 75th Republic Day Programme in which CMS Kanpur Road Girls displayed their skill and prowess winning first prize in the Brass Band contest. This information was given by the Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, Shri Hari Om Sharma.Shri Sharma said that students of various prestigious schools from all over the country had participated in this tough competition.  Girls’ brass band of CMS Kanpur Road Campus delivered a flawless Brass Band performance that left everyone mesmerized and emerged victorious keeping the school flag flying high with their well-deserved win. The winners were rewarded with a trophy and certificates of merit. Mr Sharma further stated that CMS continuously encourages its students to draw inspiration and participate in such national and international level competitions and win accolades. CMS President and MD, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon expressed her happiness at the wonderful achievement of CMS Kanpur Road team. She said that music is food for the soul and we encourage our students to take up both Indian and western music in a big way.

CMS Aliganj opens Cambridge section

Lucknow, January 6 : After Gomti Nagar Campus II and Rajajipuram Campus I, City Montessori School has now opened a Cambridge section at its Aliganj Campus I, in which the students will be taught according to the Cambridge curriculum.
