Young generation is cornerstone of global society - Dr Jagdish Gandhi, renowned educationist and Founder, CMS


 

Lucknow, January 24 : City Montessori School, Aliganj Campus II celebrated the 'UN International Day of Education' today with great enthusiasm at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium. CMS Founder and renowned educationist, Dr Jagdish Gandhi inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp of learning. Addressing the gathering on this occasion, Dr Gandhi said that the young generation is cornerstone of global society. This educational event is a meaningful initiative towards the personality development of the students. It is the responsibility of all of us to educate and provide guidance to the new generation in such a way that the way for establishment of an ideal world society can be paved.

            Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr Hari Om Sharma informed that the various interesting and informative competitions were organized online to mark the UN International Day of Education in which the students of nearly 45 schools from the USA, Kuwait, Mauritius, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Thailand, UAE and India participated. The talents of students came to fore through these competitions such as Live the Rhythm (instrumental music), Funky Feet (group dance), The Wordy Muse (Poem recitation), Remagica (collage), Praxinoscope (video editing), Pantomime (choreography) and youth talk. The winners  of the various competitions were honoured today.

            Earlier, the celebrations began with School Prayer and All Religions Prayer followed by unveiling the logo of  UN International Day of Education. On the this occasion, students of CMS Aliganj Campus II presented a series of colourful educational-cultural items mesmerizing one and all. Yoga, Charlie Chaplin, group song, percussion, melodies in rhymes, qawwali etc. were the progremmes which dissiminated the message to spread the light of education to every nook and corner of the world. While one one hand, CMS students enthralled the audience with their scintillating folk dances of various states, on the other hand, they highlighted the spirit of 'Vasudhaiv Kutumbkam' through wonderful presentation of World Parliament on the them 'One World, One Family'.

            Convenor of the UN International Day of Education and Principal, CMS Aliganj Campus II, Ms Samvida Adhikari expressed her gratitude towards all participating students and teachers and said that the event has indeed been successful in instilling confidence in the young children.

CMS organizes Civil Service Conclave in a grand way

3rd Day of 4-day International Mathematics Olympiad Matheletics 2023

  Lucknow, December 2 : The third day of the International Mathematics Olympiad organized by City Montessori School, Rajajipuram Campus II was full of exciting moments. While on the one hand students excelled in Mathematical Quiz and Puzzle Competition, on the other hand the mathematical games were keenly contested by the eager participants. Students from top public schools of Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and various states of India entered into fierce competition, each team trying to outdo the other with superior skill and knowledge.                Competitions at ‘Matheletics 2023’ began in Group C today with the Mathsketeers (Quiz) Contest. The written round was completed today in which the top ten teams were selected for the final round. The written round brought to light the hidden talents in mathematics and tested the logical and numerical ability of the participants of various countries. CMS Girls Brass Band Team wins national honour at National School Band Competition

Lucknow, February 9 : CMS Girls’ Brass Band Team of Kanpur Road Campus brought honour to the city of Lucknow by securing the 2nd prize, the Runners up Trophy at the National School Brass Band Competition. The team was awarded a cash prize of Rs 16000/-, a certificate and a trophy by the organizers. This information was given by the Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr Hari Om Sharma. Mr Sharma stated that this competition was organized as part of the 75th Republic Day Celebrations. Several prestigious schools and colleges from all over the country participated in this tough competition and displayed their skills and talent in music.
