3rd day of International School Cricket League "ISCL-2023"


 

Lucknow, 29 January : The young cricketers of various countries bubbled with talents as they displayed their skills on the 3rd day of International School Cricket League (ISCL-2023). The international cricket tournament was organized by City Montessori School, Kanpur Road Campus on their home ground, the Multi Activity Centre, LDA Colony and at Paarth Republic ground, Lucknow. The 3rd day of the International tournament saw the clash of teams from South Africa, Sri Lanka, Oman, Nepal, Zimbabwe and various states of India. Nine matches were played today.

               The first match of the day at CMS Kanpur Road stadium was played between Aachaarya Vidhyalaya School, Hyderabad and City Montessori School, Lucknow. CMS team won the toss and decided to field. AVS Hyderabad, while batting first, set the target of 126 runs for CMS, in which opening batsman of Ankith Raj scored 43 runs in 41 ball with 3 fours and 3 sixes. In reply, CMS team won the match by 3 wickets scoring 130 runs, however, the beginning of CMS team was not good as it lost its first wicket in 2nd over after scoring only 9 runs. After that, batsmen batted by staying at the crease and managed to win the match. Aarush Singh of CMS scored 27 runs in 25 balls whereas Satyam Kumar scored 34 runs in just 29 balls. Harsh V. Singh was declared the Man of the Match for his allround performance. Harsh bowled brilliantly and took two valuable wickets for 31 runs in 4 overs while batting for his team remained unbeaten on 18 runs in 14 balls.

Advik of CMS bags two gold medals in National Taekwondo Championship

Lucknow, 11 October : Advik Sharma, a talented Class IV student of City Montessori School, Gomti Nagar Campus II,  brought name and fame to the city by bagging two Gold medals in Open National Taekwondo Championship held at Noida Indoor Stadium, Noida. This championship was organized under the aegis of Taekwondo Federation of India in which over 5000 athletes from across the country participated.
