International Interfaith Harmony Conference organized by CMS Asharfabad campus concludes


 

Lucknow, February 3 : The second and final day of the two-day International Interfaith Harmony Conference organized by City Montessori School, Asharfabad Campus saw eminent scholars and thinkers from India and abroad bring out the essence of religion in their views and said that humanity will thrive only in an atmosphere of unity and peace. Scholars, thinkers and religious leaders from different countries stressed on universal equality in teachings of all religions through their online presence in the conference today. Earlier, the conference commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp, school prayer, all-religion prayer, prayer dance and Qawwali presentations by CMS students. CMS Chief Public Relations Officer, Shri Hari Om Sharma informed that eminent scholars from Russia, Brazil, the USA, Egypt, Germany, Uganda, Australia and India participated in this International Interfaith Harmony conference organized by CMS Asharfabad campus. The theme of the conference was ‘Sustainable Development through Religious Inclusivity’.

        Initiating the discussions in the conference today, scholar from Russia, Ms Nina Goncharova said that the spirit of love has a special place and it is necessary to establish peace and unity. Founder of Ahimsa Vishwabharti Organisation, Acharya Lokesh Muni said that we should continue to encourage and empower children and each other too to indulge in good deeds so that it may lead to development of a society with good character. President of Iskon temple in Germany, Shri Vaidyanath Das said that transparency in religion is much needed today and religious equality will lead to unity and peace in the society. Former Chief Justice of Uganda, Mr Justice B.J. Odoki said that religion binds human beings together and to make the future generation aware of this feeling is the biggest need of today. Similarly, Ms T K Garbo from Australia also expressed her views. The panelists of the session also participated in a question-answer session wherein they satisfied the queries of participating students and teachers. The session was moderated by Ms Shagufta Shoeb and Ms Masooma Rizvi.

        Chief Executive Officer of CMS, Mr Roshan Gandhi expressed his gratitude to all the participants and said that only by enlightenment through knowledge, one is capable of getting rid of social misconceptions. The atmosphere of friendship and goodwill that has been created through discussions on this international forum is the biggest achievement of the conference and this spirit will prove to be an inspiration for harmony and brotherhood in the future generations. Convenor of the conference and Principal of CMS Asharfabad campus delivered the vote of thanks.

CMS Aliganj opens Cambridge section

Lucknow, January 6 : After Gomti Nagar Campus II and Rajajipuram Campus I, City Montessori School has now opened a Cambridge section at its Aliganj Campus I, in which the students will be taught according to the Cambridge curriculum.
