Association writes to the Chief Minister to allow opening of schools for classes 1 to 8 at the earliest


 

Expresses gratitude to the Chief Minister for opening schools for classes 9 to 12

Lucknow, 7 February: Association of Private Schools, Uttar Pradesh has written a letter to the Chief Minister urging him to act on the suggestion of child experts and parents and open all the schools of the state for classes 1 to 8, keeping the interest of students in mind. It has also expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for sympathetically considering the demand of the Association and issuing orders for conducting offline classes for classes 9 to 12 from today. This information was given by President of Association of Private Schools of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Atul Kumar. Shri Kumar said that due to the tireless efforts of Hon’ble Chief Minister, the rate of corona infection in the state has come down drastically. Keeping in mind, the mental and physical development of young children, it is extremely important now that offline classes for them are resumed at the earliest.

Shri Atul Kumar said that according to the media reports, classes 6 to 12 have resumed in Punjab, all classes till class 8 with 50% attendance have resumed in Bihar while schools have also opened for offline classes in Gujarat and Odisha. In some bigger states like Maharashtra, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, schools have reopened from 1st February itself. In such a scenario, the government should give permission to open schools for classes 1 to 8, latest by 14th February.
