Future generation is cornerstone of global society - Renowned educationist, Dr Jagdish Gandhi

Lucknow, January 24 : The UN International Day of Education organized by City Montessori School, Aliganj Campus II was formally inaugurated by Dr Dinesh Sharma, Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. In his address delivered on the occasion, Dr Dinesh Sharma said that this educational event is a meaningful initiative towards the personality development of the students. Founder of CMS and renowned educationist, Dr Jagdish Gandhi said that the future generation is the cornerstone of global society. He said that the world is passing through an ideological revolution today. It is the responsibility of all of us to educate and provide guidance to the new generation in such a way that the way for establishment of an ideal world society can be paved. Renowned social worker Padmashree Ms Janak Palta McGilligan, Ms Dara Feldman from USA and Ms Nina Goncharova from Russia too expressed their views on the occasion. It may be mentioned that students from Kuwait, Bangladesh, United Arab Emirates and various states of India participated in different interesting competitions held at this International Educational festival and displayed their academic and creative potential.

        Earlier, the UN International Day of Education began on a virtual platform with presentation of the school prayer followed by All Religions and World Peace Prayer. CMS President, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon and Chief Executive Officer of CMS, Mr Roshan Gandhi also expressed their views on this occasion. Convenor of the UN International Day of Education and Principal, CMS Aliganj Campus II, Ms Samvida Adhikari expressed her gratitude towards all participating students and teachers and said that the event has indeed been successful in instilling confidence in the young children.

        Chief Public Relations officer of CMS, Mr Hari Om Sharma informed that a large number of students from 55 schools across India and abroad have sent their entries for various interesting competitions of the event. The competitions include Live the Rhythm ((instrumental music) for which entries have been received from students playing different musical instruments; New Age Newton (Experimental Science) which judges students' knowledge and their desire to do something new and creative; the Paperrizza (Fashion Show) which enhances students' multifaceted talents; Eloquent Expressions (Poetry recitation) which brings out the students' eloquence etc. Besides, a number of enchanting entries for Sunshine Hues (Face Painting), Paradigm (Model Making) and Razzmatazz (Choral Singing) have also been received.

CMS Aliganj opens Cambridge section

Lucknow, January 6 : After Gomti Nagar Campus II and Rajajipuram Campus I, City Montessori School has now opened a Cambridge section at its Aliganj Campus I, in which the students will be taught according to the Cambridge curriculum. CMS teachers honoured with Gold Medals at International Teachers Olympiad

Lucknow, February 10 : Four teachers of City Montessori School, Aliganj Campus II, namely Ms. Shweta Pathania Mishra, Ms. Tanushree Rastogi, Ms. Deepti Mehrotra, and Ms. Ritu Gupta have been awarded Gold Medals and Certificates of Proficiency for their exceptional teaching skills and professional excellence. These CMS teachers achieved this distinction based on their outstanding performance in the International CREST Teacher Olympiad.
