CMS alumna selected for fully funded PhD programme by Aalborg University, Denmark

Lucknow, January 8 : Juwairiya Siraj Khan, an alumna of City Montessori School, Chowk Campus has been selected for a PhD position in the Biomedical Science and Engineering research programme at the Faculty of Medicine with 100% scholarship from the prestigious Aalborg University of Denmark, bringing laurels to the city. She is the only candidate from all over the world to bag this position after a rigorous selection process in the Aage and Johanne Louis-Hansen funded project titled ‘Intelligent hybrid light weight tendon-based arm exoskeleton for severly disabled individuals’. Her position will be considered as an employment which will include a stipend of around Rs 45 lacs per annum.

            CMS Founder, Dr Jagdish Gandhi expressed delight on her outstanding achievement and conveyed his gratitude to the teachers of the school, due to whose selfless efforts, dedication and guidance, the CMS students are making their mark in the international arena. Crediting her school teachers for her outstanding achievement, Juwairiya said, “I am indeed fortunate that destiny appointed CMS to be my institution for higher secondary and senior secondary education, where I got umpteen opportunities to bring forth my talent with the support of my teachers. My alma mater, CMS Chowk campus, literally gave wings to the fire within me’. She further said, ‘I had been a member in the organizing committee of QUANTA-2011 which helped in my overall personality development and imbibed in me the confidence to compete and work with highly intellectual and educated researchers from across the world and represent India at such an acclaimed international platform.

            CMS Chief Public Relations Officer, Shri Hari Om Sharma informed that Juwairiya was a brilliant student of CMS Chowk campus who completed her ISC (class 12) with a high percentage and went on to pursue an undergraduate course in Electronics and Communication Engineering. She thereafter pursued her Masters in Technology course in Mechatronics. Juwairiya was accepted for an internship in Biomimetics Robotics and AI Lab at the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati where she worked on Brain Inspired Robotics. Shri Sharma said that Juwairiya’s accomplishment is a matter of pride for the entire CMS family.

CMS organizes Civil Service Conclave in a grand way

3rd Day of 4-day International Mathematics Olympiad Matheletics 2023

  Lucknow, December 2 : The third day of the International Mathematics Olympiad organized by City Montessori School, Rajajipuram Campus II was full of exciting moments. While on the one hand students excelled in Mathematical Quiz and Puzzle Competition, on the other hand the mathematical games were keenly contested by the eager participants. Students from top public schools of Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and various states of India entered into fierce competition, each team trying to outdo the other with superior skill and knowledge.                Competitions at ‘Matheletics 2023’ began in Group C today with the Mathsketeers (Quiz) Contest. The written round was completed today in which the top ten teams were selected for the final round. The written round brought to light the hidden talents in mathematics and tested the logical and numerical ability of the participants of various countries. CMS Girls Brass Band Team wins national honour at National School Band Competition

Lucknow, February 9 : CMS Girls’ Brass Band Team of Kanpur Road Campus brought honour to the city of Lucknow by securing the 2nd prize, the Runners up Trophy at the National School Brass Band Competition. The team was awarded a cash prize of Rs 16000/-, a certificate and a trophy by the organizers. This information was given by the Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr Hari Om Sharma. Mr Sharma stated that this competition was organized as part of the 75th Republic Day Celebrations. Several prestigious schools and colleges from all over the country participated in this tough competition and displayed their skills and talent in music.
