Science should be used for welfare of humanity — Suresh Kumar Khanna, Finance Minister, UP


 Lucknow, December 10 : The three-day International Science Olympiad, ‘Quanta-2021’ was inaugurated online today by Shri Suresh Kumar Khanna, Finance Minister, UP. Addressing the audience on the occasion, Shri Khanna said that Science should be used for welfare of humanity and for this to happen, it is important to have scientists and inventors who wish to put their inventions to good use for betterment of humanity. Appreciating the efforts of CMS in organizing the event, he said that this is a unique approach towards honing the talents and skills of young students.

            It may be worth mentioning that International Quanta-2021 is being organized by CMS Chowk campus from 10th to 12th December, 2021 wherein student teams from Brazil, Russia, Finland, Jordan, Bangladesh and different parts of India are participating. The aim behind organizing this Olympiad is to make the young students aware of the new developments happening in the scientific arena and develop a global vision in them. In the inauguration ceremony held today, CMS students presented beautiful educational-cultural programmes like the welcome song, all-religion and world unity prayer ceremony, world parliament etc and won applauds from the audience.

            Speaking on the occasion, CMS Founder, Dr Jagdish Gandhi said that it is the responsibility of young generation to establish a peaceful society. CMS President & MD, Prof Geeta Gandhi Kingdon said that this Olympiad inspires the future generation to share knowledge, think creatively and at the same time, showcase their talent in a healthy competition. CMS Founder-Director, Dr Bharti Gandhi and Chief Operating Officer, Mr Roshan Gandhi also addressed the audience and motivated the participants. Convenor of Quanta-2021 and Principal of CMS Chowk Campus, Mrs Aditi Sharma expressed her gratitude to all the participating students, teachers and other eminent guests present on the occasion.

            CMS Chief Public Relations Officer, Shri Hari Om Sharma informed that the series of competitions in Quanta-2021 started with the opening ceremony today. The final round of Science & Computer quiz and drawing competition were conducted online today. Maths & mental ability quiz and speech competition will be held tomorrow on Saturday, 11th December from 4 pm onwards. The three-day International Science Olympiad will conclude on Sunday, 12th December with online prize distribution ceremony.

CMS Aliganj opens Cambridge section

Lucknow, January 6 : After Gomti Nagar Campus II and Rajajipuram Campus I, City Montessori School has now opened a Cambridge section at its Aliganj Campus I, in which the students will be taught according to the Cambridge curriculum.
