Prepare students to be sensitive towards environment —Swami Prasad Maurya, Labour Minister, UP


 Lucknow, December 9 : The three-day International Environment Olympiad, ‘IEO-2021’ being organized by City Montessori School, Gomti Nagar Campus II was inaugurated here today by Shri Swami Prasad Maurya, Labour Minister, Government of Uttar Pradesh in the midst of scintillating educational-cultural programmes. Student delegations from 10 countries, viz. Vietnam, UK, Germany, Iran, Ireland, UAE, Qatar, USA, Australia and different parts of India will participate and display their skills and knowledge in this international event, while spreading awareness for environment conservation. In the online inauguration ceremony, CMS students put up inspiring educational-cultural presentations in the honour of the participants and won applaud for their performances. These presentations, giving the message of world unity, world peace and environment protection were well appreciated by the audience.

            Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest, Shri Swami Prasad Maurya, Labour Minister, U.P. appealed to the teachers to sensitize the students towards environment protection and conservation. Shri Maurya expressed confidence that this Olympiad will play an important role in making the young generations aware of their responsibilities towards the environment. He further said that apart from imparting quality education to its students, CMS is also spreading awareness towards important issues like environment.


            Expressing his views, CMS Founder, Dr Jagdish Gandhi said that this Olympiad is special in the sense that it is educating students about world unity and world peace besides making them aware about environmental issues. CMS President & MD, Prof Geeta Gandhi Kingdon said that it is necessary to make the students aware of the dangerous phenomenon of global warming and climate change, so that they understand the challenges our environment is facing and bring positive change in their attitudes. Convenor of International Environment Olympiad (IEO-2021) and Senior Principal of CMS Gomti Nagar Campus II also expressed her views on the occasion.

            CMS Chief Public Relations Officer, Shri Hari Om Sharma informed that during the three-day course of the event, student participants from different countries shall display their talents and participate in interesting competitions like Play Doh Play (Clay Modelling), Regalia (Fancy Dress), Maquillage (Face Painting), Birdie Bistro (Making a bird feeder), Recycle for Life Cycle (Model Making), The Hue Story (Digital Art), Birds of Paradise (Poem Recitation), Mystical Steps (Choreography), Aquades (3-D Modelling), Mysteries of Nature (Environment Quiz), Imagineering my Future (Re-Designing the Globe), Website Design, Shutter and Quill (Photography), Winds of Change (Future Friendly School) etc. Tomorrow, on 10th December, online competitions in The Hue Story (Digital Art) and Birds of Paradise (Poem Recitation) will be held from 9 am to 11 am while Aquades (3-D Modelling) and Imagineering my Future (Re-designing the Globe) competitions will be conducted from 11 am to 1 pm online. The closing ceremony of IEO-2021 will be held on Saturday, 11th December with the prize distribution.

CMS organizes Civil Service Conclave in a grand way

3rd Day of 4-day International Mathematics Olympiad Matheletics 2023

  Lucknow, December 2 : The third day of the International Mathematics Olympiad organized by City Montessori School, Rajajipuram Campus II was full of exciting moments. While on the one hand students excelled in Mathematical Quiz and Puzzle Competition, on the other hand the mathematical games were keenly contested by the eager participants. Students from top public schools of Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and various states of India entered into fierce competition, each team trying to outdo the other with superior skill and knowledge.                Competitions at ‘Matheletics 2023’ began in Group C today with the Mathsketeers (Quiz) Contest. The written round was completed today in which the top ten teams were selected for the final round. The written round brought to light the hidden talents in mathematics and tested the logical and numerical ability of the participants of various countries. CMS Girls Brass Band Team wins national honour at National School Band Competition

Lucknow, February 9 : CMS Girls’ Brass Band Team of Kanpur Road Campus brought honour to the city of Lucknow by securing the 2nd prize, the Runners up Trophy at the National School Brass Band Competition. The team was awarded a cash prize of Rs 16000/-, a certificate and a trophy by the organizers. This information was given by the Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS, Mr Hari Om Sharma. Mr Sharma stated that this competition was organized as part of the 75th Republic Day Celebrations. Several prestigious schools and colleges from all over the country participated in this tough competition and displayed their skills and talent in music.
