Developing a global outlook in students is of paramount importance today —Dr Jagdish Gandhi, Founder-Manager, CMS


 Lucknow, December 14 : The two-day ‘Vasudha International’, an event based on sustainable development, being organised by City Montessori School, Rajendra Nagar Campus II came to a close here today. At a press conference organized at the closing ceremony at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium, CMS Founder, Dr Jagdish Gandhi and Convenor of Vasudha & Principal, CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus II, Mrs Shameem Singh briefed the journalists about the objectives of the conference. Talking to the journalists, Dr Jagdish Gandhi said that developing a global outlook in students is of paramount importance today. Now that all the nations of the world are inter-connected because of their mutual interests, this is the right time when we should prepare the future generations as ‘world citizens’. This two-day event, ‘Vasudha International’ has succeeded in achieving this objective.

            Addressing the press conference, Convenor of Vasudha International and Principal, CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus II, Mrs Shameem Singh said that the objective behind organising Vasudha International is to promote active contribution of students in achieving the ’17 Sustainable Development Goals’ set by the United Nations. As a part of this event, participants from India and abroad prepared projects on broad categories of five essential elements of nature, Kutumb (family), Urja, Vayu, Van and Jal after intense research and preparation for 45 days. These projects borrow their themes from the 17 Sustainable Development Goals like poverty alleviation, hunger eradication, health, quality education, gender inequality, clean energy and clean climate, clean water, biodiversity etc.

            The closing ceremony of two-day ‘Vasudha International’ was held online today. The best projects on 17 Sustainable Development Goals prepared by students of India and abroad were felicitated with titles like ‘Jalvayu Mitr Award’, ‘Urja Mitr Award’, ‘Van Mitr Award’, ‘Jan Mitr Award’, Vasudha Veer Award’. Student delegations from USA, UK, Kuwait, Georgia, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Mauritius, Jordan, Montenegro and different parts of India participated in this international event.

            The online closing ceremony saw CMS students present scintillating educational-cultural programmes which mesmerized the audience. Chairman of Vasudha International, British Scientist and educationist, Dr Roger Kingdon; Managing Director of CMS, Prof Geeta Gandhi Kingdon; and Principal of CMS Rajajipuram Campus I, Mrs Nisha Pandey also expressed their views on the occasion.“

New State-of-the-Art Robotics Lab inaugurated at CMS

Lucknow, 16 October : A new State-of-the Art Robotics Lab has been set up at City Montessori School, Mahanagar Campus. Advik of CMS bags two gold medals in National Taekwondo Championship

Lucknow, 11 October : Advik Sharma, a talented Class IV student of City Montessori School, Gomti Nagar Campus II,  brought name and fame to the city by bagging two Gold medals in Open National Taekwondo Championship held at Noida Indoor Stadium, Noida.
