Article 51 of Indian Constitution is replete with the ethos of Vasudhaiv Kutumbkam - Defence Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh


 

Lucknow, November 19:  Defence Minister of India, Shri Rajnath Singh inaugurated the '22nd International conference of Chief Justices of the World' online this evening. This conference is being organized by City Montessori School, Lucknow. Speaking on this occasion, Defence Minister said that Article 51 of Indian Constitution is replete with the ethos of 'Vasudhaiv Kutumbkam'. He said that sustaibale development and solution of various global problems need concerted global action and expressed his belief that this conference will prove to be a landmark in ensuring the welfare of the humanity and for safeguarding the future of the world's children. He stressed on the need of mutual understanding and cooperation among all countries of the world. He congratulated CMS Founder, Dr Jagdish Gandhi for raising voice for the very important issue of children's rights and the World Order. Presiding over the opening ceremony, Mayor of lucknow, Smt. Sanyukta Bhatia said that through this international conference CMS is creating a new future for the world's children as well as setting a new dimension in the field of education.

            The participating countries at this international conference include Algeria, Argentina, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Burundi, Cape Verde, Cameroon, Comoros, Costa Rica, Croatia, Ecuador, Egypt, Eswatini, Fiji Islands, Germany, Ghana, Guyana, Haiti, Italy, Japan, Kyrgyz Republic, Lesotho, Malta, Mauritania, Mexico, Mongolia, Morocco, Myanmar, Nepal, The Netherlands, Peru, Philippines, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Suriname, Switzerland, Thailand, Trinidad and Tobago, Tuvalu, Ukraine, United Kingdom, USA, Uganda and India.



            Smt. Sanyukta Bhatia expressed gratitude towards all the eminent jurists for the world for participating in this conference and presented the Key to the City of lucknow to Hon'ble Mr Justice Bheki Maphalala, Chief Justice of Eswatini. In his acceptance Speech Hon'ble Mr Justice Bheki Maphalala said that right to a secure future for 2.5 billion children of the world is such an issue which is possible only by establishing unity, peace and harmony in the world.

            CMS Founder, eminent educationist and convener of the 'International conference of Chief Justices of the world', Dr Jagdish Gandhi warmly welcomed the Chief Guest, Mr Rajnath Singh, Special Guest, Smt. Sanyukta Bhatia and the eminent participants of the conference including the Chief Justices, Judges, legal luminaries and the Presidents, Prime Ministers and other dignitaries from 50 countries of the world. The programme began with the National Song - 'Vande Mataram' and School Prayer - "I bear witness..." and various types of school band presented by the students of CMS Kanpur Road Campus. Apart from this, various colourful presentations like Welcome Song, World Unity Prayer, All Religions Prayer, Choreography etc. presented by the students enthralled everyone present in the ceremony. On this occasion, the online presentation of 'Song of Unity' by Jinous Yegan was particularly liked by all.

            CMS President, Prof. Geeta Gandhi Kingdon while expressing her heartfelf gratitude to all the dignitaries and eminent personalities, jurists and legal luminaries from India and abroad, informed that the round of discussions and deliberations under this historic conference will begin tomorrow on 20 November. Prior to that, Chief Minister of UP, Yogi Adityanathji will be formally inaugurating the conference at 10.00 am tomorrow on 20 November. Rajya Sabha Member, Mr Sudhanshu Trivedi will be the Special Guest on this occasion. Vice Chancellor of Dr Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University, Lucknow, Prof. Subir K Bhatnagar will be the Chief Guest of the afternoon session at 2.00 pm while Speaker of the UP Legislative Assembly, Shri Hridya Narayan Dixit will grace the evening session of the conference at 6.00 pm with his gracious presence.

CMS Aliganj opens Cambridge section
